CAMP - The Panto!

Pack your bags for a seventies seaside rock-and-roll rom-com crime caper!

The perfect feel-good summer panto, CAMP  is set in the early 1970s, when hair was long, platform heels were high and flares were wide. The action takes place at ‘Sandy Shores’ holiday camp, a family business struggling to survive. The highlight of the season is the grand talent contest, which attracts a young man who wants to be a star and with him a mysterious stranger who may not be all he seems.

Join the party at Sandy Shores for a show packed with laughs, songs, romance, mystery and nostalgia which is completely, overwhelmingly, undeniably CAMP. Written for a large cast with a wide age range.

“Went to see this last night not knowing what to think of a panto based on a holiday camp in summer but I am so glad I did, it was brilliant, my whole family were in stitches." - Sue V.

The premise had me interested from the beginning: a pantomime set in a British holiday park, involving grand heists, talent shows and plenty of glam rock! From the first read through it was obvious that the script was jam packed with jokes; almost every line had the potential to draw huge laughs while also keeping the story moving at a pace. The variety of character roles big and small means this is a perfect panto for any theatre company, with some really enjoyable lead characters for actors to get their teeth into."
