Not your average Monday night

Remember, remember the 3rd August. Gunpowder, Treason and 'PLOT' returns to the Midlands for a special one-off performance next week. As one of the play's characters says: "There’s not a pub within three counties where the conspirators didn’t meet. They must have been permanently pissed."

A few weeks ago I submitted PLOT into an annual competition for one act plays: The Martin Cosgrif playwriting award, which is run by Stratford Playwrights. The plays are submitted anonymously and judged by an industry professional. Although I didn't win, I did receive some very constructive and useful feedback from the adjudicator.

Stratford Playwrights arranged for some of the plays, including the winning entry, to be publicly performed via Zoom as rehearsed readings and I am looking forward to hearing PLOT being read, by its original cast, at 7.30pm on Monday 3rd August.

The evening also features two other competition entries, including the winning play and is a great opportunity to hear some new work.

If you would like to attend this play reading, please get in touch before 2 August and I will arrange an invitation from the host.
